The Watchtower leaders are afraid of our elephants
by TerryWalstrom inin the 1960's, when i was most active as a jehovah's witness, it was a different, more relaxed religion.
we were filled with confidence about our "truth" because we were skilled in rebuttal, overcoming objections, and we encouraged tough questions to test our mettle in the door to door work.. when an anti-dub book like "30 years a watchtower slave" was released, we all couldn't wait to read it and comment about it.it was seen as a pathetic effort at spite--never as a serious threat to our confidence in what we had.. so--what was different about the jw religion and our skillset back then from the watchtower world of paranoia and enforced loyalty today?i think i know.. we were like boxer george foreman before ali knocked him out.
we were mike tyson before buster douglas introduced his face to the canvas in that ring in japan.we were bullet proof.. not until you have a bone-shaking reckoning do you lose confidence and wonder, "wtf just happened?

Do you still believe in the concept of absolute truth?
by JW_Rogue injws very much believe that there is an absolute truth and of course, they are the only ones who have it lol.
how about now though do you still believe that absolute truths exist?
or is everything subjective?

I live inside a pumpkin shell
or maybe deep inside a well
I look around I touch the wall
It feels like it is very tall
under a pillow there is truth
maybe if you leave a tooth

He stumbled when he saw the sky
Soon all his chips began to fly
He grabbed to try to break his fall
And crashed his head against the wall
Many stopped to wonder why
He ever tried to touch the sky

There were witnesses who couldn't wait for something like that and when they spoke of it their eyes lit up.

She saw him walking on the sand
his body was so richly tanned
and as he neared she saw the pelt
with that her heart began to melt

Philip was searching for the elusive bunker when he noticed an ethiopian reading the same tract and he said to him "do you know where it is" the man said "how could I w/o someone to help me". So together they worked out the puzzling directions at a local watering hole and the rumor was that the ethiopian arrived at the bunker but Philip got lost. It seems he ended up in some weird place called Azotus wandering about the streets showing people the tract and asking for directions. -

Courtesy Towards Senior Bicyclists, or First Time Riding in 45 Years!
by compound complex ingreetings, fellow posters:.
i bought a nearly new 7-speed bicycle at a yard sale for $30 last weekend and took it out this morning on our paved local bicycle/walking trail.
the last time i rode was in my early- to mid- twenties when i used a bicycle to get to and from the kh for my pioneer service.

The other day I saw a man riding his three wheeler and on the back in a big basket was his black dog looking around ears flying in the wind.
